Celebrating 7 Years: ICAP’s 2024 Annual Report!
As we celebrate ICAP’s seventh birthday this month, we’re excited to share our 2024 Annual Report. (Please click the link and download for better viewing.) As you’ll see, it’s been a very busy year! This summer alone has brought several wins in courts across the country:
In Texas, we successfully protected Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley against an overreaching investigation into its provision of humanitarian aid to recent immigrants by the state attorney general.
In Georgia, we obtained a preliminary injunction barring enforcement of a new Georgia law that would have severely restricted nonprofits and charitable organizations from providing cash bail to defendants too poor to pay for their own release.
And in New Mexico, we defeated a motion for summary judgment on behalf of a woman who was shot by two New Mexico state police officers while she was driving away from them and posed no danger, allowing her excessive-force claims to move toward trial.
You’ll find many more ICAP successes in the pages of the Annual Report. As always, we are grateful for your support, which makes our work possible.
