2026 has been a monumental year for our country as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence while facing profound and unprecedented threats to our Constitution and democratic institutions. We are proud to share our 2026 Annual Report detailing ICAP’s work combating these threats over the past year. As you’ll see in these pages, we filed 57 legal briefs at every level of the judiciary—from state and federal trial and appellate courts to the U.S. Supreme Court. We also continued to work closely with state and local governmental officials to develop winning litigation and policy strategies for protecting constitutional rights, members of Congress to hold the Executive Branch accountable, and advocates and activists to protect voters’ freedoms in the upcoming elections. Through these efforts and with the help of our supporters, we achieved legal victories for immigrants, veterans, same-sex couples, non-profits, and the constitutional principles that underlie our democratic republic.
